Kathryn Dennis is a badass and she knows it.
“I felt extremely proud that I’m doing this on my own. And celebrating myself and acknowledging all of the progress I’ve made, which I never do,” the “Southern Charm” star told Page Six of being a single mom to her two kids. “It felt very liberating and satisfying and I truly am proud of the person I’ve become, what I’ve been through and I hope that I do inspire other women to know you can do it cause we’re all badasses!”
Dennis, 26, shares two children, Kensie, 5, and Saint, 3, with Thomas Ravenel, 56. The exes are involved in a lengthy and nasty custody battle over the tots.
Ravenel won’t be appearing on the show when it returns and even sued Bravo and the show’s producers in an attempt to stop them from airing the footage they have of Dennis with their children and discussing his sexual assault case and their custody case.
The legal battle is still ongoing and Dennis has since moved on with “America’s Got Talent” alum Hunter Price.
But despite any on- or off-screen drama, the reality star is loving life as a mom, especially on Mother’s Day.
“I took the kids to a friend’s house and we made a slip and slide out of plastic from Home Depot,” the “Southern Charm” star told Page Six about her Mother’s Day celebrations ahead of the show’s premiere. “It was like the size of, I don’t know, your living room and we poured baby oil and stuff on it and we just slid around and had so much fun!”
Season 6 of “Southern Charm” premieres on Bravo at 8 p.m. ET on Thursday.
