Rose Hanbury Refuses to Let Rumored Affair With Prince William Ruin Her Summer Plans

Prince William’s recent affair rumors have put the spotlight on not just the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge but also on Rose Hanbury, the alleged “other woman.” Rose used to be close with Kate Middleton, but the two reportedly had a falling out. With the affair concerning people within the duke and duchess’ inner circle, people everywhere are paying attention to the gossip.

However, even though all eyes are on Rose, who is also known as the Marchioness of Cholmondeley, she does not appear to be too bothered by the sudden attention. In fact, the 35-year-old former model seems determined to continue living her life and letting the world know that everything is fine on her end.

Rose Hanbury has been silent about the affair rumors

William and Kate have not said anything concerning the alleged affair, but that’s not surprising given the fact that royals are not allowed to talk to the press by themselves. The palace is usually the one to squash rumors, though they seem to be sending the message that these allegations are mere rubbish by not even responding to them.

Nevertheless, even Rose, who is not a royal, has been keeping quiet about everything that has been going on. Perhaps she is also following what the palace is doing in not dignifying these rumors.

Rose Hanbury and her husband are hosting an art exhibition at their home this summer

Another strong message Rose is sending came out last week. Tatler reported that the Marchioness of Cholmondeley and her husband, the Marquess of Cholmondeley, will be opening up their home for an art exhibition this summer.

The couple lives in Houghton Hall, an estate near the queen’s Sandringham House as well as Anmer Hall, one of William and Kate’s residences. For the exhibition, several statues by English artist Henry Moore will be displayed. This also isn’t the first time they are displaying art at Houghton Hall; Rose and her husband have done so before in 2015 and 2017.

However, many people believe the reason for the couple opening up their home this time is simply to let the world know that they have nothing to hide and the rumors are nothing but pure gossip.

Whether William and Kate will attend Houghton Hall’s art show or not is also something a lot of royal followers are whispering about. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have attended several events hosted by the Cholmondeley when they were all still friends with each other, but it’s not clear where things are right now in their relationships.

Did Rose Hanbury start the affair rumors?

While Rose and her husband opening up Houghton Hall may be a surprising move, some people believe that perhaps the couple has nothing to hide because the cheating rumors were started by Rose herself.

When she and Kate began falling out with one another — note that the real reason for this has never been revealed — it has been said that the Duchess of Cambridge tried to phase the Marchioness of Cholmondeley out of their inner circle, a move that likely upset Rose. This led some people to speculate that Rose may have spread the rumors to damage the reputation of William and Kate.

Although this piece of gossip has never been confirmed, proponents of it point to William’s parents as evidence. William grew up experiencing firsthand the damage and trauma that infidelity brings, so people believe that he would not do the same thing to his own wife and children. As such, fans of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge believe there is no ground for the cheating allegations except that they were started by someone.

Either way, it’s unlikely that we will know the real story. In the meantime, however, all the parties involve seem to be doing their best to sweep the rumors under the rug and move on with their lives.
