Today, O2 has suffered a huge outage that saw users around the UK unable to access the network.
The issues have now been going on for seven hours – and users aren’t happy about it.
O2 has finally revealed the reason for the outage, and says it is working on a fix.
O2 tweeted: "One of our 3rd party suppliers has identified a software issue in their system. Our technical teams are working extremely hard to resolve this."
While O2 hasn’t explicitly spelled out who this third party is, rumours suggest that it is Ericsson.
According to the FT, ‘two people directly involved’ have revealed that the issue relates to software in the systems provided to O2 by Ericsson.
A timeline for fixing this issue also remains unclear.
O2 added: "We’d encourage you to use Wi-Fi wherever you can and we are really sorry."
