This Britain's Got Talent finalist became Deadpool for that hilarious Celine Dion video

In case you weren’t aware, that wasn’t actually Ryan Reynolds dancing as Deadpool in the incredible new Celine Dion video.

However, the face behind the mask in the ‘Ashes’ video that was released yesterday (May 3) will be a familiar one to Brits, as he was actually a finalist on Britain’s Got Talent in 2014.

Yanis Marshall formed part of the high heel dancing act Yanis Marshall, Arnaud and Mehdi, who wowed audiences years ago with incredible routines to the Spice Girls and Beyoncé.

His career seems to have gone from strength to strength, now standing in as Reynolds’ dance stunt double in the music video from Deadpool 2.

The actor unmasked him earlier today on Instagram in the wake of the video’s release, sharing a few delightful snaps with Yanis.

“Ever wonder, ‘How does Ryan Reynolds dance so beautifully?” the star wrote. “Did he have 8 bones surgically removed from his body in order to move as if a graceful swan had sex with Fred Astaire?’ The answer may surprise you.

Ever wonder, “How does Ryan Reynolds dance so beautifully? Did he have 8 bones surgically removed from his body in order to move as if a graceful swan had sex with Fred Astaire?” The answer may surprise you. Yes. I did have 8 bones removed from my body. But the dancing was all @yanismarshall. This man is not just a dancer… he’s an elite athlete, hero, and all around hilarious person. Follow him on Instagram. Put him in movies. Throw confetti at his feet when you see him. He is a gift to this weary world. #Deadpool2

We mean, interpretive dancing in red spandex next to Celine Dion as she belts out a power ballad? Life cannot get much better.

While we’re all fans of Yanis, it seemed Simon Cowell wasn’t quite feeling it in the BGT final four years ago, the judge harshly buzzing the trio as they sashayed to Queen B.

They should have channelled future Celine tbh:

Deadpool 2 opens on May 15 in UK cinemas and then arrives in US theatres on May 18. Britain’s Got Talent continues tomorrow night (May 5) on ITV at 8pm.
