Recently, Emmerdale has become one of the most gripping shows on TV.
And it’s set for an extra twist tonight when Misty Allbright attempts to leave the village with her older lover Rodney Blackstock, with her heart set on a job as a fire-eater in Thailand.
But Christine Lampard appeared to give away a massive spoiler about this evening’s episode while chatting to Emmerdale star Hedydd Dylan about Misty’s exit from the show.
While standing in for Lorraine Kelly, Christine asked Hedydd what’s next for her wild-at-heart character.
And the actress hinted that Misty could return to the farm pregnant with her father-figure’s child.
"I could come back with a little mini-me Rodney! Complete with a little necktie and cowboy boots," she said.
But Christine replied: "Emmerdale returns tonight at 7pm, I’m looking forward to seeing how it ends with poor old Rodney. There’s a health scare potentially isn’t there? We can say that?"
Looking a little uncomfortable, Hedydd replied: "Well I’m saying nothing."
Trying to recover from her slip-up, Christine clarified: "OK I’ve just said that, she hasn’t said that, I did!"
Hedydd also revealed she’d return to Emmerdale "in a flash" if the writers decided to bring Misty back.
"I’ve loved it, I’m sure everyone says this but they’re all so kind. I’d go back in a flash. Emmerdale’s got a special place in my heart but I’m looking for a job at the moment," she said.
"I got a little emotional when I came over the brow of the hill and saw the village, it was lovely. It felt bonkers to play this farcical character in the midst of such beautifully acted drama. You’ve got Misty howling in the woods next to Emily Head doing this amazing acting being locked in a cabin."
Of Misty’s romance with Rodney – which has got his children Nicola and Bernice in a right kerfuffle – Hedydd said she thinks it’s the real deal.
"I think it is, I think they really are in love. She’s a bit mad, as you know, but she doesn’t see age as an obstacle. I think they do get each other, because he’s a bit wild at heart," she pointed out.
"I did some good work on Jimmy back there, finding his spirit animal and reviving their relationship a little bit so thought maybe Misty would get away with it, but I think if you shared a house with Misty you’d want to get rid of her as well."
And of Misty’s future with Rodney, Hedydd said she hope they can go the distance.
"Who knows? She wants Rodney to go with her but Bernice and Nicola have other ideas so we’ll have to see what happens. I know that’s there’s some meddling that happens with the tarot cards," she spilled.
