Corrie arsonist ‘revealed’ as fans work out who burns down Peter Barlow’s boat

Spoilers have revealed Peter Barlow’s boat is set to be engulfed with flames and smoke.

And poor Simon Barlow may be trapped inside, leaving him in danger of losing his life in a horrific moment.

But those viewing at home reckon they know who it might be that causes the moment to happen.

In Wednesday’s episodes, Simon is furious when he discovers his dad plans to take his new squeeze, Abi, out on his boat, which causes Peter to tell Simon how little Abi means to him.

But unluckily for Peter, her son Seb overhears…

Later, Abi is furious and lashes out at Peter over the way he has treated her, so he goes off to get drunk.

Peter tries to reason with her about her drinking but she won’t listen.

But while this is going on, Simon is showing Aadi and Asha around the boat using a hurricane lamp, before the pair extinguish the flame and leave him to enjoy his new seabound home.

As Simon settles into the darkness, however, someone knocks over the lamp and the smouldering wick ignites.

Crowds gather around the boat as they see it engulfed in flames, as Aadi and Asha tell Peter that Simon is still on board.

Later on, Peter goes in search of Abi, convinced she is to blame and has caused the fire in a drunken fit of rage.

But after watching Monday’s episodes, fans reckon they have worked out exactly who it will be who causes the arson – and it’s not Abi.

One fan, who saw how Roy Cropper has been struggling with the death of his mother, thought perhaps his early foray into sleepwalking may continue and end up putting Simon in danger.

The fan took to social media tosuggest: "What if it’s actually Roy who accidentally burns down Peter’s boat while sleepwalking? # Corrie"

Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.
