Emmerdale spoilers: Kim Tate’s son James Tate RETURNS with epic revenge plan

Emmerdale is about to get a new cast member and he is sure to set the cat amongst the pigeons.

When Kim Tate (played by Claire King) returned to the village last year, fans were desperate to know if her son would be arriving as well.

And now the news everyone has been waiting for has finally arrived: James Tate will return and will be played by Alexander Lincoln.

It’s the actor’s first ever TV role and he certainly has a juicy part to play on the ITV soap.

In the coming weeks, the character will return but it seems he won’t be completely Team Kim.

A TV insider told The Sun: “James has been desperate to stay away from his mother for years.

“He’s under no illusions about what she’s like or what she is capable of and just wants to live life free from her influence.

“Just like his aunt Zoe, James loves animals and he sees being a vet as his way of escaping his toxic family legacy.”

The source goes on to explain how “horrified” James is when he discovers the true extent of his mother’s wicked ways.

However, he is about to get the shock of his life when he realises who his new boss in the vets is.

Of course, it will turn out to be Kim who is his new manager after she buys out the business.

What new fireworks will James bring to Emmerdale when he finally arrives?

Speaking of returning characters, Kelvin Fletcher has spoken out about whether he would bring Andy Sugden back to the village.

The actor appeared on Lorraine earlier today to discuss his plans for the future.

And although he loves the soap, it seems an Emmerdale return isn’t on the cards just yet.

Kelvin said: “It’s a terrific show – coincidentally it’s won awards since I left, so maybe I shouldn’t go back!”

The actor added: “It’s a fantastic show but for me, I’ve very much moved on.

“If I did go back in the future then I might. But for me, Emmerdale is something I’ve experienced.”

Fans would certainly love to see Andy back on the soap considering how many awards he won for being the hunkiest soap actor.

Emmerdale airs weeknights on ITV at 7pm.
