Emmerdale actress Gaynor Faye has revealed that she didn't come out entirely unscathed after her car crash stunt.
The 47-year-old's character Megan Macey will cause a crash which will have devastating consequences in the weeks to come.
While driving, Megan sends a text that sees her crash into the back of Jamie Tate's car. In turn, both he and Eric Pollard (who he knocks into) are rushed to hospital.
But soap star Gaynor also said that she suffered whiplash after taking part in the stunt.
Asked what the crash was like to film, Gaynor insisted: "It was fine for me! Ask the stunt lady and she'll give you another answer, but it was fine for me! It was great. I just had to sit in front of a green screen and go through the motions of the crash.
"It still gave myself a bit of whiplash, though! I always just go for it because there's nothing worse than a bad stunt or somebody looking like they haven't actually hit something.
"So my hair plays a good part in it. As you know, my hair plays a good part as Megan. Basically I didn't do much of the stunt. I would have loved to because I love stuff like that, but I think they wanted me to do some more scenes afterwards so they couldn't risk it!"
Opening up about the consequences for Megan, Gaynor teased that her character could face jail.
"I don't think it'd be a great place for her, I think she'd definitely get into a lot of trouble in prison," she said. "But that could be a good thing – it'd be great to play. We have got a little prison set because so many people go to prison on this show."
