He vows to make things right and sets off to rectify things. He heads to the Woolpack but a distracted Pollard doesn’t make it – he is brutally hit by a car before he reaches the pub’s doorway. Jamie Tate is the one behind the wheel; before he’s even arrived in the village he’s managed to wipe out Eric. In fairness it’s actually Megan’s fault, but will anyone believe a Tate over her?
Pollard is taken away in an ambulance and he’s desperate to see Faith. Meanwhile, Bear goes in for a kiss with Faith in the pub. Will she cheat when Pollard so desperately needs her?
Later at the hospital, Pollard seems fine, but Faith, Chas and David are left terrified when he suddenly falls unconscious and the nurses rush in.
Feeling helpless, all they can do is watch as the nurses rush in to save him. Will Pollard pull through?
Actress Gaynor Faye, who plays Megan, revealed to metro.co.uk how things will take a dire turn for Pollard.
‘It’s not so great,’ she said. ‘Megan sees him being his usual shouty self and assumes he’s alright. She’s a practical person and thinks it’s just the car, so everything can be fixed. But it’s only later on that everything isn’t quite what it seems. That’s what triggers the guilt trip.’
Megan is left facing the consequences of her actions as being at fault for texting at the wheel could mean jail time.
‘I might go to prison,’ she said. ‘She’d have curly hair for a start, what would she do? I don’t think it’d be a great place for her, I think she’d definitely get into a lot of trouble in prison. But that could be a good thing – it’d be great to play. We have got a little prison set because so many people go to prison on this show.’
