Janice and LMA Choir eliminated from The X Factor as Ayda Field takes it to Deadlock

The X Factor served up another double elimination tonight (October 28) to round up Guilty Pleasures Week.

First to go was Janice, who received the lowest number of votes and left the competition first, following her performance of ‘Show Me Love’ in last night’s show.

Mentor Ayda Field said viewers made “the wrong choice” and Janice was one of the strongest singers in the competition.

Janice told Dermot O’Leary after the reveal: “I am a child of God and when one door closes, I trust and believe that God is going to open another door.”

She said she was proud to be an inspiration to people, especially her daughter.

“For my daughter who is visually impaired and blind can’t see me but can see me with her heart.”

Following performances by Little Mix and Kylie Minogue, the second elimination was announced, with the LMA Choir and Brendan battling it out in the sing off.

As LMA Choir was Robbie Williams’ act, he decided to send home Brendan and Simon Cowell also sent home Brendan.

Louis Tomlinson sent LMC Choir home and as Ayda couldn’t choose between the two acts, she decided to take the vote to Deadlock and let the public decide.

Ultimately, the public voted to sent LMA Choir home, but Robbie promised it wouldn’t be the last time viewers would see the act.

“I’m devastated. I wanna work with these guys, it’ll happen,” he told Dermot.

It didn’t go unnoticed that Ayda didn’t choose to save Robbie’s act, after last week’s voting controversy which saw Robbie save hers.

The X Factor returns on ITV next Saturday (October 3).
