Noel Edmonds sparks heated row and divides I’m A Celebrity camp

Noel Edmonds made his big entrance in the I’m A Celebrity camp tonight.

But while some campmates were pleased to welcome Noel, others took an instant dislike to the Deal Or No Deal host.

The camp is full of alpha males and they disliked being told what to do by Noel.

Nick Knowles, John Barrowman and Malique Thompson-Dwyer all struggled with their new leader.

And Barrowman was the first to clash openly with the Emperor.

Noel, 69, and John, 51, didn’t get off on the right foot when Noel took offence to John’s sarcasm.

Returning to the camp, everyone saw that it had been completely made over to become the Emperor’s Camp.

There was a throne by the fire, an Roman Palace complete with two beds with duvets and towels and a podium.

“That was nice for Emperor Noel” said Malique.

Emperor Noel sat down on his throne, unfurled a scroll and asked if everyone was paying attention.

“Yes Emperor” replied John.

“Oi, that was said with a bit of sarcasm, pack it in. I didn’t ask for this role,” sniped Emperor Noel.

“You’re enjoying it though” replied John with a smile.

Later, John stood up to ask the Emperor a question and Noel asked John not to scratch his groin when he spoke to the Emperor.

John said he wasn’t scratching his groin and was not impressed with the comment.

Talking later in the Bush Telegraph, John said: “I know he was trying to make a joke and be funny but it didn’t land well with me and for that moment I’m probably being overly sensitive and it’s at this exact time that my husband would say I need a sandwich.

"It’s not his fault and I’m an adult, I know that, it was just that moment and some of us are feeling ‘arhhh’.”
