STRICTLY Come Dancing fans claim they KNEW Stacey Dooley and Kevin Clifton were getting together on the show – even when she was still dating ex Sam Tucknott.
The Sun on Sunday exclusively revealed how the 32-year-old is secretly dating her Strictly dance partner — after dumping boyfriend of five years Sam.
Stacey told Sam she only started dating Kevin, 36, after they had split up, but fans of the BBC One dancing show were convinced the pair would get together during the series run.
Taking to Twitter, one Strictly fan wrote: "Knew @ #strictly final that #kevinclifton & #StaceyDooley had fallen 4 each other & given shes only just finished with her ex is proof that she tried 2 stay but the attraction was 2 strong As 4 u critics how many of u r still with your 1st love?
"Good luck to em is what I say x."
They added in another tweet tagging Stacey: "It was obvious that serious feelings had developed when the 2 of u won #Strictly I'm a cynical old b***h but I felt it & I knew that youd end up together.
"That kind of magnetism is rare grab onto it & see where it takes you, as for the haters it really isn't any1 elses business."
Other tweets to appear on the social media site during the 2018 series saw other fans speculating about their chemistry.
One wrote: "Anybody else's girlfriend scrolling back through Stacey Dooley's Instagram trying to find evidence of whether or not she's dumped her boyfriend because they're convinced Stacey and Kevin are getting it on? No, just mine then."
A second tweeted: "Is it me or does anyone else sense the chemistry between Kevin and Stacey on @bbcstrictly #Strictly."
A third added: "I’m shipping Kevin and Stacey. Are they both single? I see chemistry…"
Yesterday, Stacey broke her silence following Sam's bombshell revelation about her and Kevin.
She wrote on Twitter: "Anyone with any adult life experience knows there are 2 sides to every story.
"I haven’t got the time or energy to correct some of the utter nonsense I’ve read on here.
"Re Sam, I loved him v much and only wish him happiness and success going forward."
