Taylor Swift makes music ceremony comeback at iHeart Radio Awards

TAYLOR Swift made a comeback at the iHeart Radio Awards last night, after skipping music ceremonies in recent months.

The 29-year-old singer picked up the Tour of the Year title for her successful Reputation Tour at the annual music ceremony, despite being absent at the Grammy's and BRITs last month.

In recent weeks the star has favoured romantic dates with her boyfriend Joe Alwyn over music-related red carpet appearances, with one of her last music bashes being the AMA's last year.

However, Taylor recently accompanied her 28-year-old beau to the BAFTA Awards after party last month, and the pair have been spotted enjoying a stroll over London's Hampstead Heath.

But the star returned to the spotlight on Thursday night as she slipped into a lilac sequin playsuit to attend the music bash, which took place at the Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles.

On receiving the accolade the beauty opened up about concerns surrounding her sell out tour, as she claimed she was told her string of concerts would be a "flop".

She said: "I think one of the most wonderful things about how this whole tour turned out was how it started.

Taylor continued: "The entire six months before the tour I kept reading that its going to be a flop tour.

"People said I was going to be playing to empty stadiums."

The Shake It Off went on to thank her fans for their support.

She continued: "But life is unpredictable. And has unforeseen factors."

She added: "That unforeseeable factor in this case was my fans.

"I honestly owe everything to you. I wanted to thank you for coming out in perfect weather or one of the rainy concerts.

"This is the only reason this we ended up being the highest selling tour in US history", Taylor added.

Taylor's Reputation tour proved to be a huge hit, as it sold two million tickets in America and it's not just the singer's music career that is heating up again either, as things are set to be heating up between Joe and Taylor, as the couple are reportedly talking about marriage.

Meanwhile, Nicole Scherzinger, 40 and Halsey, 24, were also in attendance at the glitzy awards bash.

The former Pussycat Doll looked chic in a mid length nude dress as she took to the stage to present the award for best new artist, while the Control singer sported three different outfits for the occasion.

Halsey performed for the crowd at the awards before getting presented with the L'Oreal Paris Fangirls Award, where she thanked her fans for their support.

She said: "It seems really fitting that the name of this award would be the fangirl award. I think the word fangirl for a long time has been used in a really derogatory sense.

"I think if a young women likes something then in the eyes of the rest of the world that makes it stupid or unimportant or invalid, but as a former fan girl and now a person who is lucky enough to have fans of their own, I know that it is very much the opposite actually.

"I have watched my fans and I have been a part of fan-doms and I have seen people, I have seen them be motivated and passionate and determined about something in a time where it is so necessary to have feeling and to have empathy.

"So when I see a fan girl, or fan boy, or fan anyone- I see a person who is capable of feeling and capable of affecting change and that means a lot to me so thank you. Thank you to L'Oreal!"
