2 boys approached on way home from school by suspicious man in Cambridge: police

Waterloo Regional Police are cautioning the public after two boys were allegedly approached by a suspicious man in Cambridge on Monday.

Police say that two boys were on their way home from school when they were approached by a man in a suspicious vehicle near the intersection of Montrose Street North and Eleanor Avenue at around 4:25 p.m.

The man in the vehicle asked the boys for directions before inviting them into the black four-door car with tinted windows, according to police.

The boys turned down the offer and the vehicle drove away in the direction of Concession Road.

Police described the suspect as a black man, between 30 and 40 years old, with grey hair, a goatee and an average build.
