The gun-wielding wheelchair-bound man who was shot by an off-duty cop outside a weekend house party in Brooklyn has been arrested on charges including attempted murder, police said Tuesday.
Kwame Dottin, 30, got into an argument with the off-duty officer outside the party on East 43rd Street in East Flatbush about 2:40 a.m. Sunday, authorities said.
Dottin, who is confined to a wheelchair after being shot years ago, allegedly pulled a .380-caliber revolver and fired one shot toward the cop, missing him.
The officer returned fire, shooting four rounds and hitting Dottin once in the hip, authorities said.
Dottin was arrested Monday afternoon on charges including attempted murder, assault, criminal possession of a weapon and reckless endangerment.
He was taken to Brookdale Hospital after the shooting, where he is currently in police custody.
The NYPD’s force investigation unit is probing the shooting, police said.
