“After evaluating them (photos), my sister and I responded with the same conclusion – the Loch Ness Monster”
Matthew D’Amico claimed to have seen the elusive monster while hiking with his family – in Canada.
The 17-year-old from Florida was walking in Alberta’s Banff National Park when he stumbled across a peculiar site.
Quickly grabbing his camera, Matthew snapped what seemed to be a thin neck sticking out of the water.
Matthew said: “After an hour hiking, we took a break on a hill with a great view of Bow River where my sister and I saw what appeared to be a prehistoric animal swimming.
“I pointed my sister to what I was seeing, and she too stood shocked.
“I immediately took photos, and after evaluating them, my sister and I responded with the same conclusion – the Loch Ness Monster.
“I made no hesitation to rush taking out my camera and capture photos. My sister ran off to the rest of the family to bring them while I stayed and took photos.”
Matthew added: “Sadly, my parents and sister did not make it quick in time before the creature disappeared below the surface.”
But, it had been pointed out online that the image could be a stick.
Many people have claimed to have seen the mythical monster, most of them having visited Loch Ness in the Scottish Highlands.
Last year, tourist Lynn Locke from Ontario, Canada, said she saw the best about 50 yards from the lake’s shore.
The 54-year-old immediately grabbed her phone and tried to zoom in on the animal, which she said was visible for at least a minute.
Her account of the run-in with the monster has now been accepted by the Official Loch Ness Monster Sightings Register.
