Basketball Wives Star Brooke Bailey Mourns Daughters Death at 25: Mommy Will See You Soon

The 45-year-old reality TV star takes to Instagram to share the heartbreaking news about the passing of her daughter Kayla, who was reportedly involved in a car accident.

AceShowbiz -“Basketball Wives” star Brooke Bailey is suffering a family tragedy. The reality TV star is currently mourning the death of her daughter Kayla Nicole Bailey, who was lovingly dubbed “Pretty Black”.

The 45-year-old reality TV star confirmed the sad news via Instagram on Sunday, September 25. Along with pictures of her late daughter, she heartbreakingly wrote, “Forever my baby, Pretty Black aka Kayla Nicole Bailey. This is not a goodbye. Mommy will see you soon.” She has also changed her bio to include a tribute to Kayla, writing, “Kayla Nicole Bailey 3/2/97 – 9/25/22” along with a purple heart and dove emoji.

Kayla was only 25 years old. While Brooke’s post did not reveal any details of her daughter’s cause of death, according to several social media outlets Kayla died after sustaining injuries in a car accident. The accident reportedly happened on the evening of Saturday, September 25.

The comment section of Brooke’s post was soon flooded with messages from her friends and followers expressing their condolences to the grieving mom. “Omg, my condolences,” one person wrote. Another showed support to the reality TV star as penning, “My God , sending you love sister.”

“RIH pretty girl! I love you Brooke,” a third added. Another sent prayers as commenting, “Brooke I’m so sorry my heart and prayers go out to you and your family.” A fifth user similarly said, “So so sorry for your loss. God please cover their family in the name of Jesus.” Someone else weighed in, “Brooke you have my complete condolences. May God give you strength baby.”

Brooke is a mother of two. In addition to Kayla who was her only daughter, she has two sons. Brooke first appeared on E!’s reality series “Candy Girls”, which only lasted one season. Known for her relationship with former NBA star Rashard Lewis, she then joined the cast of “Basketball Wives LA” alongside Jackie Christie, Malaysia Pargo and others in its second season. The show merged with the cast of the mothership franchise in Miami. Brooke returned to the show in its 10th season, which is currently on hiatus.
