Exciting news – Javicia Leslie is the latest to join the upcoming ninth and final season of The Flash!

The Batwoman star will be making her return to the Arrowverse for the long-running CW series’ final season, according to EW.

Although Javicia has already appeared in the Arrowverse and on The Flash as Ryan Wilder/Batwoman, her The Flash role is being kept under wraps and it’s not clear if she will in fact be reprising her character.

While it is said to be a “mystery role,” Javicia did share a post announcing her casting on her Instagram Story and added a Batwoman gif…

The number of episodes she will appear in is also unclear, though the upcoming season will be a shortened one, as previously announced.

Earlier this year, Javicia‘s show Batwoman was of course sadly canceled after just three seasons, two of which she played the caped hero.

She then later expressed her interest in jumping back in to reprise Ryan Wilder/Batwoman on another DC show!

“If my schedule allows it, I’m always down to play in Gotham,” she told Digital Spy. “I mean, Batwoman is a part of my fibre at this point. It’s a part of my fabric. I think the most amazing part is, that was a character that we created. It’s not something I have to play into, it’s something that we created out of our own spirit and our own souls.”

The Flash will be the longest-running DC show on The CW after it’s upcoming season. The only other shows left in the DC/Arrowverse world are Superman & Lois, the upcoming Gotham Knights and DC’s Stargirl, which is currently airing it’s third season.
