Billie Eilish, who rose to world fame at the young age of 17 years, has won Apple Music‘s Global Artist of the Year award.
Eilish’s full-length debut album, When We Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?, will also be awarded the most streamed Album of the Year.
Co-written and produced by her brother Finneas, When We Fall Asleep became an instant worldwide sensation, and the most played album on Apple Music this year with more than a billion streams.
Tickets for her upcoming 2020 world arena tour in support of the album have already been sold out.
Eilish, who will also share the award for Songwriter of the Year with Finneas, said, “So 2019 has been one big birthday present.
Apple Music announced its first ever Music Awards on Tuesday.
Lizzo was named Breakthrough Artist of the Year, while “Old Town Road” by Lil Nas X was selected as Song of the Year.
