New I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! trailer

Bonnie Tyler has repeatedly turned down ITV show I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! as the challenges make her feel sick just watching them on TV.

The Total Eclipse of the Heart hitmaker revealed to Express.co.uk that she’s been asked to do the show numerous times but her answer will always be a no.

Discussing the much-loved favourite show, Bonnie, 72, said of being a contesant: “No thank you, I couldn’t think of anything worse!

“Never in a million years, six times they’ve asked me now, and it’s never going to change.

“I will never ever do that. Sometimes when I watch it, I run into the bathroom just heaving, let alone to do it.”

While Bonnie may not be entering the jungle, there are many rumoured names in the mix for this year’s series such as; Nigel Farage, Sam Thompson, Alan Halsall, Denise Van Outen, Liz Truss, Frankie Dettori and Josie Gibson, amongst many others.

A source said of the latter joining the show: “Josie is hugely popular with This Morning viewers and producers were determined to get her.

“She is seen as the perfect person for the jungle as she’s already such a familiar face on ITV and will bring her fanbase with her,” they added to The Sun.

Following Matt Hancock’s appearance in the jungle last year, a source also claims ex Prime Minister Liz Truss would be an ideal campmate.

“High-level politicians are virtually guaranteed to create controversy in the camp – which equates to compulsive viewing for fans at home.”

As a teaser, a mini trailer has been released showing hosts Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly preparing to put new campmates through their paces.

Over the pair’s antics, a narrator can be heard saying: “Come away with us, far, far away, into the heart of a tropical jungle.

“Dream beneath the stars, savour exotic cuisine, unlike anything you’ve ever tasted before.

“Surrender yourself to the ultimate jungle experience. Let us pamper you beyond your wildest expectations.

“You deserve this. We’ll give you the full celebrity treatment.”

A date for the new series is yet to be announced, although it’s expected to return in mid-November.

Bonnie has also joined forces with McVitie’s Jaffa Cakes to educate Brits on the wonders of eclipses, following research that reveals the nation’s giant knowledge gap when it comes to our solar system.

Bonnie said of her involvement: “Given my connection to eclipse-related matters, I was very happy to collaborate with McVitie’s Jaffa Cakes to educate Britain about the science behind this magnificent lunar phenomenon.

“I hope that after watching this video, people throughout the UK will gain a deeper understanding of the night sky.”
