Bruce Willis steps out for lunch in Los Angeles amid his battle with aphasia… days after his eldest daughter Rumer announced her first pregnancy

Bruce Willis was seen looking fit while stepping out for lunch at Caffe Luxxe in Santa Monica, California on Thursday, following the news he is going to be a grandfather.

While walking back to his car, the Die Hard star, 67, who announced he was suffering from with aphasia in April, rocked a beige coat, maroon long sleeve shirt and dark-wash jeans.

He styled his casual look with a New York Knicks baseball cap and black sneakers.

Earlier this month, a source told RadarOnline that his family are ‘praying for a Christmas miracle’ with him as his mental facilities continue to decline. 

‘They know he won’t be around forever,’ the unnamed source said. ‘So they’re cherishing every single moment.’ 

His latest sighting comes after his eldest daughter Rumer Willis, 34, announced she is expecting her first child with her boyfriend, Vista Kicks frontman Derek Richard Thomas, 36.

The couple made the initial announcement earlier this week by positing a series of images that showed the indie musician resting his head on Rumer’s stomach, looking elated.

Her mother, Demi Moore, posted the same images on her Instagram and captioned: ‘Entering my hot kooky unhinged grandma era.’

The Ghost actress, 60, went on to post a picture from her daughter’s sonogram appointment.

Rumer and Derek went Instagram official as a couple in November, but they’ve been an item for a while.

Meanwhile, the Real F***ing Lucky singer has referred to the future mother of his child as a ‘magical human’ who has ‘filled [his] life with joy and peace.’

‘Everything is just so easy with you. We sing, we dance, we play and most of all we laugh. Thank you for being you,’ Derek wrote on Instagram. ‘I’m so glad you came into my life.’
