Police in Alabama are sharing what they know about the Carlee Russell disappearance case in a news conference … and TMZ is streaming live.
Carlee’s troubling case has drawn so much attention, and the public’s been anxious to see what the Hoover Police Department has to say — up to this point, there are a lot of questions about the 48-hour period between when Carlee says she went missing and when she returned home.
As we reported … police clarified some of the case’s biggest moments earlier today, saying they don’t have any evidence of a toddler walking down the interstate where Carlee’s car was found.
Remember, Carlee called 911 last Thursday night, telling dispatchers she saw a toddler walking alone on the interstate, a claim she also reiterated to family members before pulling over.
That’s when Carlee vanished … only to show up Saturday at her parent’s home … with her family claiming she was kidnapped and ultimately fought for her life and escaped her abductors.
In Tuesday morning’s update, police said they had surveillance footage from Carlee’s neighborhood showing her walking down the sidewalk alone before showing up at her parents’ front door.
What’s more, cops also denied reports Carlee was transported to a hospital in an unconscious state … with police saying someone called 911 reporting Carlee as unresponsive, but she was awake and speaking when paramedics arrived.
Police have said they’re waiting for a follow-up interview with Carlee … so it will be interesting to see if there’s been any movement there.
