Candace Cameron Bure is setting the record straight about where she and JoJo Siwa stand.
Over the weekend, the Full House actress came across JoJo’s viral TikTok and was “shocked” to hear that she was called out as the “rudest celebrity” the Dance Moms alum has ever met. Although JoJo didn’t reveal more details about the interaction in her July 24 clip, Candace revealed a few days later that she immediately reached out to JoJo. When the two got on the phone, Candace asked to be clued in.
“I was finally able to talk to JoJo this morning,” she said in a July 26 Instagram Reel. “I called her and we had a great conversation. She was like, ‘Hey, how you doin’?’ I said, ‘Well, I’ve been better. What happened?'”

During their call, JoJo shared that she crossed paths with Candace during the Fuller House premiere red carpet event in 2016. The Dancing With the Stars season 30 runner-up asked Candace for a photo but was told “not right now.” While JoJo now understands the situation better than she did when she was 11, she confessed that she “didn’t think it was a big deal” hinting at the exchange on TikTok.
Candace went on to apologize to JoJo for the incident. “Please know that as a mom, it breaks my heart that I made you feel that way, and I’m sorry to your mom, too, that I did that to her daughter. I know if anyone crosses my kids, mama bear comes out.”
That said, Candace made it a point to stress the importance of choosing words carefully because of the possible impact. “No matter how many followers you have, even a 10-second trending TikTok video can do damage because our words matter and our actions matter,” Candace added.
Reacting to her Instagram video addressing “the tea” behind JoJo’s TikTok, Candace’s celebrity friends showed their love and support. “@candacecbure you are officially my spirit animal! So eloquently put. I’m sitting here crying 😭 watching this video. Rings soooooo true. You are truly an inspiration! Love u. Xo,” Tori Spelling wrote in her comments section. “You are all love @candacecbure. No one is perfect and to be reduced to a single moment in one’s life is never fair. I’m glad you guys had a chat and all is well,” GAC actress Jill Wagner chimed in. “💗💗💗💗,” Dancing With the Stars pro Jenna Johnson added.
Little People, Big World star Amy Roloff also dropped in a note, writing in part: “Candace. I so agree. It’s too bad something like that had to show up on [TikTok] … Like you, I so enjoy meeting others, hearing their stories, taking photos. Sometimes there’s just not enough time to take a moment for everyone and We don’t intentionally not do it. It happens though … All of us impact others with our words and actions and we do our best.”
In the end, Candace assured fans that she and JoJo were “all good and there’s no drama.” Now, she’s hoping that everyone will move on.
