King Charles has continued his royal duties today holding two audiences at Buckingham Palace with Italy's new ambassador, Inigo Lambertini, and Kazakhstan's Magzhan Ilyassov.
The audiences were held just hours after the King's son, Prince Harry, made reference to the King, then Prince of Wales of saying "things that just simply weren't true" during a meeting about his and his wife Meghan Markle's future way of working.
Despite this, the King appeared in good spirits, and was photographed smiling as he greeted and shook hands with both of the ambassadors.
The audiences, which were held behind closed doors, saw the diplomat's present the letters of recall of their predecessors and their own letters of credence, which sanction their role and presence in the country.
Earlier in the day the final three episodes of Harry and Meghan's Netflix documentary were released, with some of the couple's claims not painting the King in a particularly flattering light.
Discussing the couple's departure from royal life Harry accused his father's office of leaking private correspondence between himself and his father, in which he discussed the possibility of his family leaving the country.
The Duke said: "The key piece of that story that made me aware that the contents of the letter between me and my father had been leaked was that we were willing to relinquish our Sussex titles. That was the giveaway."
Discussing a meeting that was held between himself, the late Queen, then-Prince Charles, Prince William, Harry said: "It was terrifying to have my brother scream and shout at me, and my father say things that just simply weren't true, and my grandmother, you know, quietly sit there, and sort of take it all in."
Both Buckingham Palace and Kensington Palace have declined to comment on the Sussexes claims against the royal family.
Journalist Omid Scobie confirmed the palace's response on Twitter, as he wrote: "As was the case last week, both Kensington Palace and Buckingham Palace say they will not be commenting on today’s final episodes of Netflix’s Harry & Meghan."
Prior to the new episodes releasing, former BBC royal correspondent told Jennie Bond told OK! that while the King may be feeling "distraught" over Harry's claims, he would be unlikely to respond unless they there was a "direct hit on Camilla."
Jennie told us: "The three words that come to mind when I consider how the Royal Family must be feeling during the run up to the release of the next three episodes are despairing, dismayed and disappointed.
"They’ll be hurt and pained. Charles must be distraught that this is going on and on."
"It’s really unlikely Charles will respond to Harry and Meghan’s documentary unless there is a direct hit on Camilla.
"He and his staff are well aware that if you comment on a story, it gives it legs. The best way to shut it down is silence. And Charles probably believes it more graceful and dignified to respond, if he’s going to, in private."
