Chloe Madeley was left “shocked and disgusted” after arguing with fellow mums on Instagram about car seat safety.
Chloe, who earlier this month defended Prince Harry and his actions since leaving the Royal Family, is mum to Bodhi, six months, with her husband, rugby player James Haskell.
After sharing a picture of Bodhi sitting on her dad’s lap in the back of the car, the daughter of Richard Madeley and Judy Finnigan was slammed by some parents who questioned how safe it was.
“Why isn't your child in a car seat?! How irresponsible,” one person questioned, which spurred Chloe, 35, to reply: “Because it's a taxi, look it up.”
The troll hit back with: “Taxi or not – shame on you.”
The personal trainer responded to the troll and branded her the “worst of us women”, as she explained: “Understanding the law is not your forte. Do you think you're more informed than the law?
“How dare you insinuate that because we're in a 10 minute taxi ride where legally our child under the age of 3 sits on our lap, that I'm a bad mother. You are the worst of us women. Go away. Get a grip. Get a life.”
According to the government, a child can “travel without [a carseat] – but only if they travel on a rear seat" as Bodhi was.
In an Instagram story, Chloe continued to rage and took issue with the fact that the mum assumed Chloe hadn’t done her research.
“Women who've never met me or my baby thinking they care more about her than I do never fails to shock and disgust me,” she scathed.
“Rest assured I don't make a safety conscious decision without first researching it (and getting multiple second opinions from friends and family.)”
“Keep your side of the street clean and don't worry about mine,” she added.
In another story, Chloe shared direct messages from one mum while arguing that everyone can have different opinions.
Sadly, this isn’t the first time Chloe has been forced to defend her and James’ parenting after she previously explained she returned to work eight weeks after giving birth.
Speaking exclusively to OK!, she said: “James obviously makes a great income and he's my partner and that's fantastic, but we don't have a joint account. We've always had separate accounts and I think that's a bit of a pride thing with me.
“Next time, if I get pregnant again, I'm absolutely not doing it. I will swallow my pride, I will jump in on James' account and take at least six months.”
Following the interview, Chloe said James was branded a “s**t husband and a father who doesn’t provide for his family.”
She hit back: “Between the spring and winter of 2022, my husband and I bought our first house in North West London, refurbished it, furnished it, and had a baby.
“I'm not sure if anybody knows this, but these things do actually cost money.”
