“I see pictures of myself and it’s too upsetting. The other day I had to ask my manager to put my shoes on for me because I just couldn’t do it — my belly is too big. I can’t do up my own shoe laces.”

Arg, who recently said a relationship with on-off girlfriend Gemma Collins is “impossible”, has since candidly opened up on his struggles with an eating disorder and is looking forward to the surgery.

James posted a photo of himself smiling up at the camera on his Instagram page as he looked to the future in the caption.

He shared with his 779,000 followers: “A CHANGE IS GONNA COME” followed by a praying hands emoji.

Arg then added: “I can’t wait to be Happy & Healthy again, I’m feeling super positive

“I’m nervous about the big operation & surgery but I know it’s for the best & will be life changing!”

Former TOWIE star James then revealed he has taken inspiration from Tyson Fury, also known as The Gypsy King, who lost more than 140 pounds, which is around 10 stone, according to Mean’s Health.

James added: “I’m inspired by @gypsyking101 comeback & can’t wait to be back to my very best” followed by a red heart emoji.

Arg’s candid post received more than 31,000 likes while many, including Dan, commented to share inspirational words.

Dan told James: “You got this brother as soon as them gyms are open, we are putting the work in mate x”.

Meanwhile Arg’s best mate Mark Wright added: “Come on my son” followed by a red heart emoji.

And Vicky Pattison said: “You’ve got this son” alongside three heart eye emojis.

James recently admitted he has struggled with eating disorders since he was a teen in a candid chat on Good Morning Britain.

“Since I was young I always remember, you know, half of the year I could be in good shape, training three times a day, but then I'd be starving myself. The other half of the year I'd be doing no exercise at all and I'd be binge eating.”
