Tributes have been flooding in for the actress Kirstie Alley, after the Cheers star passed away earlier this week.
Among them was a heartfelt tribute from TOWIE’s Dan Osborne who described the leading lady as “kind”, “funny” and “loving”.
The pair struck an unlikely friendship after appearing on Celebrity Big Brother together in 2018, alongside Love Island contestant Gabby Allen, footballer Jermaine Pennant and actress Roxanne Pallet.
In one particularly memorable moment from the series, a then 27 year old Dan even performed a striptease in leather shorts for Kristie.
Despite explaining that she regularly received saucy messages from fans, the Hollywood leading lady look more than a little red-faced as Dan covered himself in baby oil.
After leaving the Big Brother house, Dan and Kirstie remained friends until the actress’s untimely passing earlier this week.
Taking to Instagram, Dan wrote a heartfelt tribute to his former co-star with the post showing highlights from their time on the show.
One image showed the pair high-fiving, as they joked about the days events together. It was a particularly moving photograph as Kiristie posed behind the bar and emulate her iconic character Rebbecca Howe, who she’d played for eleven seasons of the show.
The caption read: “Waking up to such sad news today….Rest in peace to such as lovely woman Kirstie Alley…”
He also called their time on the show an “absolute pleasure”, adding:
“She’s a Hollywood legend, but spending time with her all day every day for a month, she was so down to earth, so kind, so loving & so funny! We had such a laugh in there….”
The father-of-three added that he would cherish the memories of their time together forever, before offering his condolences to her family and friends.
Many of Dan’s housemates from Big Brother also left tributes in the comments, including psychic Sally Morgan.
She wrote: “So sad,….our lovely friend”.
Another housemate, Coronation Street actor Ryan Thomas describes Kristie as a “beautiful lady” in a comment that mirrored his own tribute.
In a story posted earlier today, he spoke about the Look Whose Talking actress and said that she was a “beautiful person inside and out”.
Dubbing her his “angel heart”, Ryan thanked the actress for the memories and share a stunning black and white photograph of her as a young woman in the 80s.
