Dan Walker, 45, has taken to Twitter to praise Matt Goss for his “class and style” after the star became the third celebrity to be eliminated from Strictly Come Dancing 2022 last night. It comes after the official Strictly account shared a short clip of the Bros star on the BBC show on Saturday night.

In the clip, which showed the singer’s final speech on the show, he said the experience had drastically alleviated his “shyness”.

When reminded by Tess Daly that he said he had a “shy bone”, Matt admitted he still does, but that the show has helped a lot.

Host Tess said: “You came to us, you said you had a shy bone.”

Matt candidly replied: “Yeah, I do. I still do.

“Thank you judges, for your candor, you’ve helped me in so many ways.

“My posture, Anton, I’m more aware of it.”

In full view of his 776,800 followers, Dan wrote his heartfelt tribute message, whilst also crediting his 2021 dance partner Nadiya Bychkova, who was paired with Matt this year.

He said: “I thought he was great to watch and I’ll miss him. That is how to exit with real class and style.

“Beautiful words from Nadiya too@mattgoss @NadiyaBychkova.”

In the clip, Matt’s dance partner Nadiya revealed she felt “priveleged” to have gotten to know the Bros megastar personally.

She said: “First, I’m so grateful I got to teach and dance with a music icon.

“But more improtant is, I got the privelege to get to know Matt for who you really are.

“Not many people know you,” she concluded, to bouts of tears from her dance partner.

Fans rushed to the comments on Dan’s tweet to share their own heartfelt thoughts and messages.

@JennyHummphries7 wrote: “Obvs out of his comfort zone but put himself out there so all credit to him.

“He seems to be his own worst critic so I’d say ‘give yourself credit for your achievements’.”

@ChristmasPud wrote: “@mattgoss you did amazingly well my dear!

“Your lovely personality shone through you are now in my heart forever! Well done for putting yourself out there xx.”
