Pregnant Dani Dyer, 26, is set to open up about her experience and struggles of being a new mum in a new Channel 4 documentary, Dani Dyer: Is This Anxiety?
The former Love Island contestant said she is “excited to be working with E4” to discuss the topic and will talk about what it is like being a young mum who struggles with anxiety.
Dani became a first time mum when she gave birth to her sweet son Santiago in January 2021, and the young mum is about to become a mum of three as she is currently pregnant with twins.
The new documentary will include Dani speaking about the pressure and loneliness she experienced when she became a first-time mum and how it can be “overwhelming”
Dani said: “Anxiety is a topic that everyone’s heard about, but we still don’t openly talk about our experiences. It can affect anyone, but as a young mum, it can be overwhelming.
“I’m really excited to be working with E4 and Summer Films to explore this topic, remove the stigma associated with mental health and meet other mums who have struggled with the pressures of what a supposed ‘good mum’ looks like.”
This isn’t the first time that Dani had opened up about her battle with anxiety. In 2021 she said: “I’ve always suffered with anxiety and stress. I overthink and panic about things that don’t need to be worried about. When I was growing up I didn’t really know what anxiety was."
The news of Dani’s new documentary followers after her dad, Danny Dyer revealed his daughter had moved back into their family home ahead of welcoming her twins.
Danny told Closer: “Dani's only got a couple of months now before she gives birth and she's doing so well.
"She's actually moved back in with us while her new house gets sorted, and it's been lovely having her around. I've got so much respect for that kid, she's amazing."
Since announcing her pregnancy in January, Dani has been keeping fans up to date with her journey, including her "horrendous" pregnancy symptoms, and the guilt she's felt at booking a C-section for her twins' arrival.
Dani shared with her followers in a recent Instagram post: “I am so excited for our family to be growing.. I feel so lucky and blessed to be having 2 more babies.. but I just feel like I have so many worries going around in my head that I need to just get them all out.
"I remember one of my friends having a second baby and telling me about the second baby guilt she had and I never understood it until I fell pregnant again! Honestly the mum guilt never ends I don’t think."
The mum of three-to-be is due to give birth in June.
