Demi Lovato is hoping to connect with her friends after leaving rehab earlier this month.
The 26-year-old singer, who went to rehab following an overdose in July, asked friends to direct message her to get her new number in a post to her Instagram story on Tuesday.
In August, TMZ reported that Lovato would get a new phone number to stop drug dealers and enablers from having access to the singer. The website added that only her close inner circle would receive the new number.
Unfortunately, all 70 million of her Instagram followers have the ability to DM the songstress, and, according to social media, many of them did.
“waiting @ddlovato,” one fan wrote on Twitter with a screenshot of her message. Another added, “I dmed you for your number demi, call me maybe ?? @ddlovato.”
At the end of October, about a week before she was spotted out of rehab dining in Beverly Hills, Lovato reached 90 days of sobriety, according to her mother.
She posted her first post-rehab photo on Election Day, writing that she was “grateful to be home in time to vote.”
It was also reported last week that Lovato would be continuing her recovery in a halfway house three days a week and attend AA meetings.
