Glastonbury Festivals announced that Diana Ross will perform in the legendary Sunday teatime slot on the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury 2020 on June 28 next year. It will be Ross’ first live appearance in the U.K. since 2008.
“To all my fans across the world, this is my tribute to you,” said Ross, one of the most successful recording artists of all time.
“Every concert feels like a private party, I can see your eyes and feel your hearts. I’m coming to Glastonbury, with love,” she added.
While presenting Ross with the Medal of Freedom Honor in 2016, President Barack Obama said that “she exudes grace” and that “her influence is inescapable.”
“I am delighted to say that one of the all-time greats, the wonderful Diana Ross, is coming to Glastonbury to play the Sunday legend slot on the Pyramid next year,” said Glastonbury co-organizer Emily Eavis.
