Angel Adoree, 43, and Dick Strawbridge, 61, are the much-loved stars of Escape to the Chateau. The pair are also currently starring in a series of DIY videos and Angel opened up about one of the “tricky” parts of living in their beautiful chateau.

Angel is well known for fronting Channel 4’s Escape to the Chateau with husband Dick.

The pair bought the Chateau de La Motte Husson at the heart of the show back in 2015.

Viewers have watched the pair renovate the property over the years in their much-loved series.

However, Angel has opened up about how living in the beautiful building is not always easy.

Speaking in a recent video, she admitted how the clutter in one of their rooms just “does her head in”.

She explained: “I look in every single corner of this room and there’s just clutter and it absolutely does my head in. It just does my head in.

“I cannot wait to get me a mobile little office, I can be like a little tea lady and take it away at night and I can’t see it again.”

She added in the video for Homebase: “I’m looking around here and I want to get the scarves sorted and I want to sort the books out.

“In fact, I have a feeling once I get started this whole place is going to have a bit of a declutter and it’s going to cleanse me.”

Angel also opened up about how the clutter has arisen because she and Dick have worked from home since they moved to the chateau.

The presenter continued: “Since we’ve moved to the chateau, we have always worked from home.

“Our home is our everything and actually that can be a bit tricky because you’re putting the kids to bed, you are then still working with all your files everywhere.

“And that is not just this year, last year, this has been since day one.”

Angel was speaking as she made a mobile storage unit, which she revealed how to decorate.

This was part of a series for retailer Homebase, which Dick and Angel are currently fronting.

This is called “Dick & Angel Give It A Go” and sees the pair taking on various jobs around the chateau.

Recently, Dick also fronted a video showing fans how to create a raised planter for their gardens.

The last episode of Escape to the Chateau aired back at Christmas.

Currently, there has been no announcement about when new episodes of the show will be released.

However, at the end of 2020, it was announced Channel 4 had commissioned 60 new episodes of Chateau DIY.
