The excitement surrounding Drake’s new album, For All the Dogs, quickly turned into fury as the rapper appeared to take aim at his superstar ex Rihanna.
Throughout 2008 and 2018, the pair had an on-and-off again relationship which came with a number of chart-topping songs including Whats My Name and Work.
However, they officially called it quits when the Fenty founder revealed they were no longer close, just two years after Drake professed his love for her on stage at the 2016 MTV VMA’s.
Recalling his speech, Rihanna told Vogue: “Waiting through that speech was probably the most uncomfortable part. I don’t like too many compliments; I don’t like to be put on blast.”
Adding: “We don’t have a friendship now, but we’re not enemies either. It is what it is.”

Although the pair have since tweeted each other, it seems Drake has ignited a feud with his newly released song, Fear Of Heights.
On the song, the 36-year-old insisted he had moved on and sneered: “Why they make it sound like I’m still hung up on you? That could never be.”
Fans have also suggested the line: “Gyal can’t ruin me,” was a jab at the Barbados native’s accent, despite his own Jamaican roots.
Drake added: “The sex was average with you” which listeners are convinced was a swipe at Rihanna’s song Sex With Me, where she sings: “Sex with me so amazing.”
The father of one, also seemed to take shots at Rihanna’s boyfriend ASAP Rocky with the line: “Better him than me, better it’s not me. Yeah, that man, he still with you.
“He can’t leave you. Y’all go on vacation, I bet it’s Antilles,” the Lesser Antilles is a location in the Caribbean where the couple has traveled.
Fans were filled with fury as they took to X with rage at Drake including @rihweready who posted: “Name one time drake is not obsessed with Rihanna.”
As @admire_liyahh hit back: “I hope Drake don’t expect us to actually believe Rihanna’s sex is AVERAGE…that’s some serious delusion.”
