Drake’s fans were treated to a hilarious video earlier this week of the rapper dodging a rogue bumblebee – and now he’s responded.

The Canadian star, 35, who spent the week in the French coastal town of St. Tropez, was seen dodging the annoying insect in a restaurant.

Two members of his entourage were seen attempting to swat the bee with napkins while Drake dodged from side to side, in the now-viral clip uploaded to fan sites.

And after the clip emerged, drawing funny reactions from fans, Drake has responded – by insisting he hates bees.

‘I hate bees on god’, he commented on Instagram, underneath a fan’s video of the incident, in which he looks visibly uncomfortable.

After watching the video, some Drake fans have speculated whether the rapper has bug-swatters on his payroll.

The incident with the bee comes shortly after it was confirmed that Drake will be appearing on Beyoncé’s upcoming album Renaissance.

Drake is set to appear on the song titled Heated, while Jay Z, Pharrell and PC Music founder A. G. Cook are also tipped to feature.

And two weeks ago, Drizzy joined the Backstreet Boys on stage during the Toronto show of their ongoing DNA Tour.

Drake was spending time in St. Tropez with YouTube star Suede Brooks, 20, visiting restaurants and sailing on the nearby waters.

The exact nature of Drake’s relationship with Brooks is said to be unknown at present, but ET Online claimed the pair were ‘having fun together’.

A source told the magazine that the pair had been ‘yacht hopping’, and that this wasn’t their first time in each other’s company.

Drake was visiting St. Tropez after recently revealing a run-in with Swedish police following his trip to the Scandinavian country last week.
