Drake debuted in the top spot on Billboard‘s newly launched Hot 100 Songwriters Chart.
According to Billboard, Drake dethroned Finneas O’Connell and Billie Eilish on the Hot 100 Songwriters chart, as 10 songs written by him entered the Hot 100 chart.
O’Connell and Eilish were tied at No. 1 for the past three weeks. O’Connell had reigned at No. 1 for nine consecutive weeks starting from the chart’s inception on June 15, helped by his work on Billie Eilish’s “Bad Guy.”
Drake also topped the Billboard 200 chart with his latest compilation album Care Package. The record features 17 of his individual tracks, many of which were never officially released and previously available on streaming services.
