EastEnders legend Steve McFadden beams on lads’ holiday with younger co-stars

He's the social media superstar who isn't actually on social media.

Now EastEnders royalty Steve McFadden has whipped up a fan frenzy once again after being pictured on a lads' holiday in Majorca.

The 60-year-old didn't mind about the huge age gap with his co-stars as the party pals enjoyed some fun in the sun.

His on-screen son Max Bowden, who plays troubled Ben, uploaded the shot as he looks relaxed alongside Jamie Borthwick, the Square's Jay Brown, and former Benidorm joker Danny Walters, 26.

Max, 24, captioned the post: "Living our best life in Majorca."

Steve is a star of the social media world and king of the memes thanks to his dramatic stories in the soap and his hard man reactions.

He is also the inspiration behind cult twitter account @ColdWarSteve , with the tough guy the main focus of many satirical collages put together by artist Christopher Spencer.

Fans as expected have already gone crazy for the holiday snap.

One said: "This has just made my weekend" while another wrote: "Phil Mitchell in holiday clothes is the best thing I’ve seen on Instagram ."

The gang of actors have all picked a great time to have a little break as hard-hitting EastEnders scenes divides viewers.

Next week the fallout to Phil's attack intensifies as doctors fear he may have suffered brain damage.
