Emma Roberts has announced she's pregnant with her first child with her boyfriend Garrett Hedlund.

The 29 year old, who previously dated her American Horror Story co-star Evan Peters, took to her Instagram feed to share the exciting news with her 13.8million followers.

The star shared three photos on the social media platform, with the first showing her alone sitting on a striped couch wearing an off-the-shoulder white dress with black polka dots all over it and puffed long-sleeves.

The actress appeared happy as she cradled her blossoming baby bump and smiled to someone to the side of the room.

The blonde beauty, who was previously arrested and released without charge after a bust-up, styled her mane into loose waves for the occasion.

A second snap saw the stunning star holding hands with her 35 year old actor boyfriend, while a third showed the loved-up pair laughing with joy at the prospect of becoming parents for the first time.

Emma captioned the snaps: "Me…and my two favorite guys," alongside two blue heart emojis, indicating that the pair are expecting a baby boy.

Celebrity friends were quick to offer the couple congratulations as Sarah Paulson wrote: "Beauty beauty," as actress Ashley Benson added: "I love you my angel baby I can’t wait."

And her Scream Queens co-star Lea Michelle, who recently welcomed her first child with husband Zandy Reich, said: "You will be the greatest mama. I love you Em! Boy moms together."

Emma and Tron actor Garrett are believed to have started dating at the beginning of 2019.

The pair have kept quiet about their relationship in both the press and on social media as Emma declined to comment on her relationship with Garrett during an interview for Cosmopolitan in May last year.

"I never want to talk about relationships I’m in or that are ending or have ended," she said.

"It’s hard enough to be with someone by yourself, let alone with an audience. Growing up is hard. Sometimes it makes me sad that I can’t have a private moment.

"Because of Twitter and Instagram, there’s a whole other element where everybody can comment on what you’re doing and no one knows the real story. That’s hard.”

The star also spoke out about how she deals with the paparazzi and media attention.

"I also have the most amazing group of friends. They come over and we lie in bed or talk, watch TV, or read short stories to each other. We open a bottle of wine.

"To me, that’s the best whenever anything is going on – to have everyone come over and be together.”
