The 33-year-old, who confirmed her exit from Emmerdale this week, answered a series of questions from fans in an open Q&A session on Instagram. When one follower asked Charley whether she was looking to expand her family soon a few days ago, the soap actress insisted that she wasn’t done having babies just yet.

I’m actually really broody at the moment but it’s just not quite the right time

“Are you going to have any more bubbas? Xx,” the question read.

Charley replied, saying: “People say you know when you’re done having babies.

“I don’t feel that way. I’m actually really broody at the moment but it’s just not quite the right time.”

The Debbie Dingle star is already a mother to sons Buster, 11, Bowie, six, and Ace, three.

In another Instagram Story, the Manchester native confirmed her exit from Emmerdale, having played the role of Debbie for a whopping 19 years.

In December, The Sun reported that Charley was “closing the door” on the ITV programme, just months after her husband was involved in an alleged racism bullying row involving another cast member on the soap.

It was reported a mixed-race actress received an inappropriate comment and had her accent mocked.

Matthew and Isabel Hodgins, who was also allegedly involved, deny the allegations.

An ITV spokesperson said: “While we would never comment on individual cases, Emmerdale has robust policies in place to deal with any allegations that are brought to our attention and take the appropriate steps.

“Neither actor has been suspended from Emmerdale.”

After a three-month break, the 41-year-old was spotted back on set at the ITV studios in mid-December.

Charley addressed her reasons for leaving the soap after almost two decades, though she did not mention the incident involving Matthew.

“This is always my most asked question but I’ve never answered it before because I’ve never wanted to make a big deal of it,” she wrote on top of a family photo.

“I left to have Ace 2 years ago.

“I went back at the end of last year for 10 weeks to complete a storyline.”

She added: “So, I guess officially it’s been a year.

“I never felt the need to announce it which is why we didn’t.”

Charley often shares updates from her family life on Instagram with her followers.
