The heartbroken family of late JLS dancer Jack Pointer Mackenzie have shared their devastation after his sudden death.
Jack's loved ones said the 35 year old had "everything to live for" when his body found at his flat in north London on 1 September, adding that his passing "doesn't make sense" as they wait to find out his cause of death.
Speaking to MailOnline, Jack's devastated father Bren said there are "no suspicious cirumstances" and the family are currently waiting for a full report from the coroner.
"He was a very fit young man. As well as his dancing he was a runner. He did marathons, half marathons. He did yoga, cycling. That makes it all the more difficult to process and try to get our heads round," Bren told the publication.
The dancer's family said they were not aware of any illness he was suffering and stated that Jack did not take his own life.
Jack's mother Mary also added: "We don't know how he died but it wasn't suicide. It doesn't make any sense. It's still in the coroner's court. The cause of death hasn't been established. They have taken samples. It could be seven weeks before we know."
Jack was a dancer, choreographer and filmmaker, who toured with JLS throughout their entire career from The X Factor in 2009, until their last tour in 2021.
JLS star Aston Merrygold shared the heartbreaking news of the dancer's death on social media on Monday, branding him an "original JLS member".
A devastated Aston, 35, who was in the band alongside Marvin Humes, Ortise Williams and JB Gill, paid tribute to Jack on his Instagram stories, as he shared a post from Base Dance Studios, with an image of Jack.
Aston wrote: "RIP captain," with a prayer hand and raised hand emojis. He added: "Original JLS team member!"
On Aston's next Instagram story, Aston shared a video of Jack and other backing dancers performing on stage alongside JLS. Aston added the words: "Captain Jack always with the vibe from 2009 and beyond!! A phenomenal team member!"
Base Dance Studios shared a couple of black and white snaps of Jack, who also performed with Camilla Cabello and performed and choreographed for Justin Bieber and Hozier in Los Angeles, to Instagram, as they wrote: "A unique gift, who shall be sorely missed. Thank you for sharing your talent with us. Jack Nathaniel Pointer-Mackenzie."
