Sir Elton John has clearly been the latest to pick himself up an adorable pandemic puppy, with the superstar introducing us to not one, but two gorgeous dogs recently added to his family.
Sharing an image of the little ones, who appear to be German Shepherd puppies, the dogs took centre stage on both Sir Elton and his husband David Furnish’s Instagram pages.
And, quite frankly, our hearts could not have swelled more if they’d tried – these dogs are way too cute.
One was already working the camera in the shot on Monday, as it stared down the lens, while its sibling was evidently distracted; its eyes darting away from the photographer.
Sir Elton didn’t give much away as to the names of their new furbabies, as he simply wrote: ‘Introducing the newest members of the F-J Family.’
They were both tagged with the singer and his husband’s Instagram accounts, though, and we sort of love the idea they’d named their dogs after themselves (even though we figure that’s not the case…).
Meanwhile over on David’s page, he shared a shot of the pair’s two seven-year-old sons, Elijah and Zachary, walking their new dogs as they appeared to settle into life as the pampered pooches of the John/Furnish household.
He tagged the image #PuppyLove and, yes, you are quite correct David – we’ve got a staggering case of puppy love just looking at these photos.
It comes two years after Sir Elton mourned the death of his beloved dog Arthur, who died in March 2018.
At the time the music icon was reported to have broken the news during his show in Las Vegas as he dedicated the track Don’t Let The Sun Go Down On Me to the late cocker spaniel.
The dog – who was gifted to Sir Elton on his 56th birthday – quickly became his closest companion, reportedly even serving as best man at his wedding to David in 2014.
