Ferne McCann and fiancé Lorri Haines have shared that her voice note scandal almost caused the pair to split.
Ferne, who is currently pregnant with her second child, got engaged to her beau last summer.
Things haven’t been smooth sailing however, with the release of voice notes of Ferne being released online where she made some explosive comments about once-close friends Sam Faiers and Billie Shepherd, almost led to Lorri packing his bags.
Ferne, 32, has finally lifted the lid on it all in her new series of First Time Mum where Lorri admitted the ordeal caused him to doubt if things would be okay.
Lorri was also part of the smear campaign with him facing accusations that he was only with Ferne for financial gain.
Discussing the strain it put on their relationship, Lorri, 31, candidly told his fiancée: “I was like, I just want to go pack my bags and leave.”
Reflecting on his comments, Ferne told the camera: “It’s not nice hearing the honest truth, but I can’t blame him for having those thoughts of wanting to leave. Like, I wanted to leave. I wanted to run away from it. It was a sh*t, horrible situation. But the fact is, he didn’t [leave] and he showed up for me.”
Lorri went on to reassure his wife-to-be: “This has made me and us collectively stronger. I don’t think nothing can break us.”
He also admitted that he was “p*ssed off” that the TOWIE star had been “manipulated” by the person leaking the notes.
Several months on from the ordeal, Ferne said she knows who’s behind it all.

"There's only one person I know who would want to inflict this much pain and damage – they destroyed me,” she said.
Ferne also claimed that a number of the messages had been edited.
The mum-to-be has publicly apologised for her voice notes while chatting to This Morning’s Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby ahead of her new series of First Time Mum, which aired last night.
“It definitely wasn’t my finest hour,” she admitted to the hosting duo.
“It was a very difficult time in my life when those voice notes were leaked but I need to take this opportunity to publicly apologise, again, to those affected.”
The reality star went on to insist that she couldn't share her "full truth" just yet as it's still a "criminal investigation".
