Emma McVey, the wife of former Geordie Shore star Gaz Beadle, has been rushed to hospital amid "unpredictable health issues".

Emma, 29, took to Instagram to reveal the news, sharing a picture of herself in a hospital gown and giving a thumbs up as she looks off into the distance.

Alongside the snap, she explained about her hospital dash and health issues, saying her "life has become turbulent and unpredictable".

The mother of two wrote: "In the space of a week I’ve had gas and air, cameras inside me, called in for a chest X-ray whilst I’m sat having lunch, bloods and to start infusions, injections and one other thing that I can’t even remember because my head is constantly a shed.

Emma continued: "I don’t show a lot of my life on social media, as much as people think I do. I think I’m trying to just deal with things myself and be present at all times with my babies.

"This year I’ve learnt to enjoy and appreciate every single day because as crazy as it sounds I just don’t know what’s around the corner anymore. My life has become turbulent and unpredictable.

"I’ve had a fair few breakdowns and I can cry over the smallest thing these days. But I’m gonna keep smiling and I’m gonna stay positive. For anyone else trying to hold it together whilst fighting a health battle I’m right here with you."

Emma has been open and honest about her health woes, and in June of last year, Emma announced on Instagram that she had been diagnosed with 'three large holes' in her heart and would need to undergo open heart surgery to fix the defect.

She wrote to her Instagram followers: "Long story short, we've finally found out I have three large holes in my heart and damaged tissue which is causing my blood to pass through the wrong direction, the right side of my heart is now enlarged and weak, along with high blood pressure in my lungs.

"This has all got a lot worse as they should of been closed when I was a child, unfortunately no one checked my heart even when I had seizures and diagnosed with epilepsy or fainted like it was a hobby.

"I definitely shouldn't of carried babies whilst they were there. They are baffled how I actually made it through birth with Primrose and if it wasn’t a cesarean it could of been a very different story.

"Now I’m waiting for open heart surgery as the holes just can’t be closed with device closure."

In April, she revealed she was back in hospital suffering with the effects of the condition, which leaves her fainting, thin and losing blood.

As well as this, Emma suffers from a condition called colitis which she was diagnosed with last October.

Speaking to Fabulous Magazine, Emma said: "The past year has been a whirlwind. I’m still trying to get my head around this latest health issue.

"Two weeks ago, I had another flare-up — I lose a lot of blood and feel really tired — so I’ve recently had my medication doubled and steroids reintroduced.

"I did lose a lot of confidence. One health issue after another gets you down and I was so thin, my face looked gaunt, which made me feel insecure.”

Emma and former Geordie shore lothario Gaz got married in July 2021, and they share two children together, son Chester, four, and daughter Primrose, two.
