While Paul became incredibly attached to her, he was unable to give her a home himself, but realised he had the perfect owner in mind in the form of his friend, Geri.
Geri said: "I'm really excited to meet Daisy because every time you get a new dog in your life it's like a new chapter. And they become part of a family. I've got such a great relationship with Battersea Dogs Home. They gave me my first dog, Harry."
She continued: "She did have medical problems, some people would feel a bit anxious about taking on a dog like that. But I think we've got enough love in our hearts to welcome and look after her. No matter what is going on in your day, you see a beautiful spirit in a furry coat and it makes everything alright."
