Gladiators icon Jet is getting married to a "gorgeous lady" she met while in her local supermarket.
The TV icon, 53 whose real name is Diane Youdale starred in Gladiators from 1992 to 1996 after a producer spotted her in a fitness magazine when she was 22 years old.
During a recent US podcast, Diane revealed that she is now getting married after she was approached by her wife-to-be while shopping last year.
The couple were seen cuddled up on screen together as the fan favourite on the ITV show during the 1990s expressed she was "very happy".
Her partner, Zoe came onto the screen to introduce herself and jokingly said: "I haven’t done my hair.
"I feel really embarrassed."
Diane went on to admit that she had previously been "put off relationships for life" after moving to North West England for a love interest that ended badly.
She has previously spoken about a love affair she had with former Gladiators co-star James Crossley who was known as Hunter.
But went on to share during the podcast: "Just over a year ago, a gorgeous lady approached me in my local supermarket.
"Over a year later, we’re going to get married.
"We are what we are.
"It doesn’t matter. And I don’t give a damn.
"I’m safe and I’m loved and there’s no threat to me anymore and that’s what means the world to me."
During the US podcast, the 53 year old had opened up to actress Lori Fetrick, who played Ice in American Gladiators which was the original US version of the hit game show.
Lori, 60 who hosts her Chillin with Ice podcast publicly came out as gay in 2008 and told Diane: "Today’s day and age, people are so accepting of everyone and it doesn’t matter who you are because it’s a matter of who you are as a person."
"It shouldn’t matter who your partner is" she added.
Gladiators confirmed last summer that it would be returning this year for an 11 part series – with filming taking place in the Utilita Arena Sheffield.
The series, which will air on BBC One and BBC iPlayer, will include new games alongside classic challenges – with each episode ending with fan favourite, gruelling obstacle course The Eliminator.
At the time, Kate Phillips, the BBC’s director of unscripted, said: "Gladiators is back and a whole new generation of viewers can now look forward to watching a Saturday night spectacle like no other."
Those hopeful to see the action in person can even apply for free tickets to the arena during filming.
