Gloria Estefan is joining the cast of the upcoming Father of the Bride remake.
Deadline reports that the 63-year-old entertainer is set to star alongside Andy Garcia in the reboot, which is being directed by Gaz Alazraki.
The original Father of the Bride movie starred Spencer Tracy and was released in 1950. A beloved remake starring Steve Martin was released in 1991.

The new movie will focus on a father coming to terms with his daughter’s upcoming wedding through the lens of multiple relationships within a large Cuban-American family and will be more of a romantic-comedy than previous iterations of the film.
According to the outlet, sources say it will also be more similar to the original Spencer Tracy version.
Gloria said in a statement, “A resounding YES was my answer to the invitation to join my good friend, the incredibly talented Andy Garcia, for this new and wonderfully warm and funny incarnation of the classic, Father of the Bride! I’ve been a fan of director Gaz Alazraki since I saw his record-breaking comedy Nosotros Los Nobles and can’t wait to experience how he brings this amazing script by Matt Lopez to life.”
