Gogglebox favourites Sophie and Pete Sandiford regularly entertain viewers with their cheeky quips and gossiping on the Channel 4 programme. The small-screen stars, who are brother and sister, share a close bond on and off-screen.
Sophie has since spoken out after the reality TV star revealed she had lost her job at Debenhams after the high street retailer collapsed last year.
However, she now has reason to celebrate after the Channel 4 host revealed that she has started working as a florist.
The Blackpool star recently took to Twitter after she was advised about her new career path.
The person in question wrote: “@PeteandSophie good luck with your florist training, been a florist for 40 years, hard work but rewarding. One tip you won’t need the gloves.”
In view of her 123,000 followers, Sophie replied: “Been doing some practicing (sic) today and the gloves came off after five minutes.”
The exciting news comes after she broke down in tears during an episode of Gogglebox last year as she discovered Debenhams was closings its doors.
Crying to her brother Pete, she said: “It’s just s*** for everybody.
“It’s going to get even worse; more people are going to lose their jobs and things like that. It’s just awful.”
Sophie is not the only member of the Sandiford family celebrating good news.
Last month, Pete announced his engagement after popping the question to his girlfriend Paige Yeomans.
Speaking on the programme, Pete spoke of his “responsibility” now that he is about to walk down the aisle.
Sophie quizzed: “Do you feel any different now that you’ve got engaged?”

“Yeah, I think,” Pete replied. “I feel like an even bigger responsibility. I don’t know why. I’m going to have a wife.”
“Yes, you’re going to have a wife,” Sophie added.
Meanwhile, Gogglebox has been hit with Ofcom complaints after viewers complained about the comments made by some of the cast as they tuned into Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s explosive interview with Oprah Winfrey.
The couple sat down with the broadcasting veteran to discuss their life in the Royal Family and their decision to step down from their duties.
Meghan spoke about claims made regarding baby Archie’s skin colour as well as going in-depth about the struggles with her mental health.
Sophie responded to a moment in the interview alongside her brother Pete.
She said: “Stick her in the gift shop while you’re at it. You know, 30 hours a week in the gift shop should cover her funds.”
Mary Killen also commented on Meghan’s remarks about her mental health.
In its weekly complaints report, Ofcom confirmed they had received 51 complaints about the episode.
A representative for the regulatory body told Metro.co.uk these complaints were regarding comments made about the Royal Family during the show.
Gogglebox airs tonight on Channel 4 at 9pm.
