In early November, there were whispers online that Paul Mescal and Phoebe Bridgers had quietly gotten engaged following about two years of coupledom. Then in early December, multiple anonymous sources told Deux Moi that, in recent weeks, the Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter has been seen packing on the PDA with someone else: comedian Bo Burnham. On Dec. 12 — a few days after the Phoebe-Bo romance rumors started gaining steam — The 1975 frontman Matty Healy added to the confusion by taking to Instagram to share a photo of himself locking lips with the “Motion Sickness” singer as Bo stood behind them with his eyes closed and his hands draped across their shoulders. So are Phoebe and Paul still an item? Has she moved on with Bo? Did two close pals simply team up with Matty to troll us all? Only time will tell!

In a Dec. 11 preview for the upcoming “Sister Wives: One on One” special, “Sister Wives” star Kody Brown revealed that he’s on the outs with another of his four wives. “I am separated from Janelle [Brown], and I’m divorced from Christine [Brown],” he said. Echoed Janelle, who spiritually wed the Brown family patriarch in 1993, “Kody and I have separated.” She’s the second wife he’s lost in a little more than a year after Christine announced in November 2021 that she’d “made the difficult decision to leave” him. Kody is still legally married to Robyn Brown and also has a spiritual union with Meri Brown, whom he divorced in 2014 to marry Robyn so he could give her kids from a previous relationship health insurance. Earlier this year, Kody said that his relationship with Meri is now purely platonic.

The rumors were true! On Dec. 7, Allison Williams and her partner of several years, actor Alexander Dreymon, made their red carpet debut as a couple at the Hollywood premiere of her new movie, “M3GAN.” Two days later, the “Last Kingdom” star took to Instagram to confirm rumors they’re engaged: “I’m so proud of my gorgeous fiancée,” he captioned a slideshow of photos with the “Girls” and “Get Out” actress. The duo were first publicly linked in April — more than two years into their relationship.

On Dec. 8, The Wanted’s Nathan Sykes took to Instagram to announce that he’s engaged to his love of several years, Charlotte Burke. “A few nights ago I took @_charlotteburke_ to the same beach in Saint Lucia that her parents got married on many years ago to ask her a certain question and … she said yes!” he captioned a slideshow of proposal pics. They’ve been an item for at least four years, though it’s unclear when exactly they started dating.

On Dec. 10, Diddy announced on Twitter that he recently welcomed his seventh child: daughter Love Sean Combs. Two days later, TMZ reported that a woman named Dana Tran gave birth to the baby girl in Newport Beach, California, on Oct. 15 — four days before Diddy was snapped holding hands with influencer Shawntya Joseph in New York City. (See photos here.) The birth announcement — and the PDA pics — raised questions about the status of Diddy’s long-term (and apparently open) relationship with Yung Miami. (Back in June, Diddy described himself as “single” and said that he and the City Girls rapper “date” but are also “friends.”) On Dec. 13, Diddy tweeted of Miami, “[She] is not my side chick. Never has been, never will be. She’s very important and special to me, and I don’t play about [her].” Still, he stopped short of explicitly defining their relationship. Earlier this year, Miami told the September 2022 issue of XXL magazine that she and Diddy aren’t exclusive: “He’s single, I’m single, but we’re dating. … When we’re together, we’re together,” she said, adding that they both see other people.

On Dec. 13, TMZ reported that Christina Ricci and her ex-husband, James Heerdegen, recently finalized their divorce by settling their division of assets. The former child star is reportedly hanging onto their former marital home in the Los Angeles area, as well as residuals and royalties from her various film and television projects. She and the producer are set to sell their former New York City pad — the proceeds from which they’ll split evenly. James is walking away from the marriage with a Subaru, his personal property and a one-time lump sum equalization payment of nearly $190K from his former missus. Neither party will pay spousal support or child support to the other, though the Emmy-nominated actress is on the hook for 100% of their son’s private school tuition and future medical expenses. They’ll share joint legal and physical custody of their son, though she has primary custody and final say in major matters pertaining to his upbringing. Christina and James split in the summer of 2020. She quickly moved on, marrying hairstylist Mark Hampton in October 2021.

On Dec. 12, The U.S. Sun reported that Braunwyn Windham-Burke and her estranged husband, Sean Burke, recently hit a speed bump in their divorce: In newly obtained divorce documents, the “Real Housewives of Orange County” alum alleges that after she filed to legally end their marriage in mid-October, her ex became “increasingly aggressive,” while his new girlfriend threatened her via text and called her “very derogatory names.” Braunwyn also dropped some major bombshells about their finances: While requesting $10K per month in spousal support from Sean, Braunwyn alleged that she has just $2,900 to her name (in cash and in various bank accounts). The reality star claims she’s currently unemployed and has been unemployed for all but two of the 23 years she and Sean were married. Now that Sean has “stopped providing any support,” she’s “unable to provide” for herself and their five minor children, she says. (They also have two adult children.) Braunwyn claims she’s now depending upon financial assistance from a family member to cover her “basic living expenses.” Says the mother of seven, “I have relied on [Sean] for all financial security since I was 20 years old. I have relied on [him] to make all financial decisions for 23 years, and I have effectively been kept in the dark regarding the true extent of our business interests and assets.” She says Sean banks more than $75K per month in gross income from his companies and that her average monthly expenses are between $25,750 and $10K. In his response, Sean reportedly agreed to Braunwyn’s terms but requested that the court also “reserve for future determination the issue of support payable to” himself. He’s also fighting Braunwyn’s request for him to cover the cost of her attorney fees, asking that they each cover their own. When contacted by The Sun for response, the former couple said in a joint statement, “As many separated people can relate to, things were upsetting for everyone during the early stages of our divorce. However, we are working together toward a path forward for not only our children’s sake, but for the integrity of a 25+ years-long companionship. We are looking forward to spending the holidays together with our children.” They’re reportedly set to hash out their issues in court-appointed mediation in January. A subsequent hearing has been set for February.

E! News reported on Dec. 13 that Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber’s son, male model Presley Gerber, recently split from his girlfriend of a few months, fellow model Lexi Wood. “They realized very quickly it wasn’t going to be a long-term relationship,” said one source, while a second source claimed that it was Lexi who ultimately pulled the plug on the whirlwind romance. She reportedly “wants to focus on herself, her modeling, podcast and partnerships” in the wake of the breakup.
