According to Gwen Stefani, fallen trees are no match for a macho man like her boyfriend, Blake Shelton.
While on “The Kelly Clarkson Show,” Stefani and Shelton joined fellow “Voice” judges Clarkson and John Legend, as well the competition series’ host, Carson Daly.
During their discussion, the No Doubt songstress gushed about a time when Shelton, who hails from Oklahoma, impressed her city-dwelling family with his country ruggedness.
“I remember the first time I went to Oklahoma with my family,” Stefani recalled in the clip published Wednesday. “We are, like, from Anaheim. We’d never seen even trees before. So we were like, ‘Wow, this is, like, crazy.'”
“And we’re, like, driving, and Blake’s in his truck and there’s a tree that had, like, been blown down in the road.
“And Blake gets out, and he’s like, ‘All right.’ And he gets in the back of the truck. He has, like, a big chain and he pulls it out. He wraps it around the tree, and my whole family is, like, ‘Oh my God, he’s a man!'”
Shelton, 43, and Stefani, 50, began dating in 2015 after meeting on “The Voice.” The country crooner told Entertainment Tonight in June that he and Stefani are in no rush to tie the knot.

“First of all, the rumors stuff, I’m not gonna sit here and say that it makes me mad,” Shelton said. “It’s funny. I’ve learned over the years just to take that for what it is.”
Shelton added that his bond with Stefani grows stronger every day.
“If I am somehow, and Gwen is somehow, newsworthy enough that they have to make up stories about us just to have something to say, then I guess that’s a good problem to have,” he said. “You know, I gotta say that we couldn’t be happier, and we’ve never been doing better.”
