Today in royal news, we have some new reports that suggest Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s upcoming docuseries, Harry & Meghan, isn’t going to be controversial or dramatic at all.
^^ JKJKJKJKJKJK. The opposite of that. As usual, the latest insider intel about the Netflix series is all about how it’s going to be nothing but controversy and drama, pretty much. One of the controversial and dramatic things Harry and Meghan will reportedly discuss in series? “How they they felt their best interests were not being represented by the palace, and they’ll talk about being victims of the palace media machine,” according to a royal source who spoke to Page Six.
Harry and Meghan famously (or infamously, depending on who you ask) opened up about their struggles with what they saw as a lack of support from the palace and rest of the royal fam during their 2021 interview with Oprah Winfrey.
“Harry and Meghan will claim they were bullied by the palace,” a second source, described as a “Hollywood insider,” said, backing up the claim. “What will become clear is that they suggest their trials and tribulations tie in with the greater issues in the world, such as racism.”
ICYMI (somehow), the first trailer for the series dropped this week and, even though it’s about 80 percent sweet black and white photos of Harry and Meghan being adorable and in love, the other 20 percent is just the teasiest of teases about the royal tea that the Sussexes will spill in their confessional interviews.
Examples: Harry cryptically saying, “No one sees what’s happening behind closed doors,” before this picture of Meghan sobbing with her head in her hands flashes on screen:
And a clip of Harry declaring that he had to do everything he could to protect his family followed by this heart-wrenching picture:
