Harry and Meghans Netlix mansion in Montecito now on sale for whopping £26.7m

The mansion in which Prince Harry and Meghan Markle filmed their Netflix documentary has been put on the market for a whopping $33.5million (£26.7m).

The stunning home, which was built in 2006, is currently listed on Top Ten Real Estate Deals and boasts six bedrooms, an outdoor swimming pool, hot tub and a bar.

And it's not just these luxuries, the mansion is also home to a private gym, games room, library and a movie room.

The Mediterranean-style property contains two acres of lush grounds, featuring romantic walkways, vegetable gardens, chicken coops, and even has a guest house in its grounds.

The mansion served as the backdrop for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's docu-series, with some viewers shocked to learn it wasn't their actual home.

As the Mail on Sunday revealed, the home was once owned by disgraced Quadriga Arts CEO Mark Schulhof, who was accused of orchestrating a $116 million (£95m) scam targeting disabled veterans.

The property is believed to be just 10 minutes from Harry and Meghan's own home, within a gated community in Santa Barbara.

They bought their own US mansion back in 2020 for the huge sum of $14.7million (£12.1m), having previously been staying at one of Hollywood director Tyler Perry's homes when they first arrived in California.

In the documentary the interior of the Montecito mansion was largely neutral, with taupe couches and white walls serving as the backdrop for many of the couple’s most intimate conversations and admissions.

However, with the huge size the inside aesthetic of the home can certainly be changed to fit the taste of the lucky buyer.

Both this and Harry and Meghan's own home are world's away from the "small" home of Nottingham Cottage they live in after their wedding.

Discussing the cottage, which is on the grounds of Kensington Palace, Harry said: "As far as people were concerned we were living in a palace, and we were, but in a cottage."

"We were living on palace grounds" the couple explain, as Meghan adds: "Kensington Palace sounds very regal. Of course it does, it says 'palace' in the name, but Nottingham Cottage was so small."

Harry then adds that the "whole thing's on a slight lean" and it has "really low ceilings" as he jokes: "I don't know who it was for but they must have been very short."

This caused something of an issue for Harry, with Meghan explaining: "He would hit his head constantly in that place cause he's so tall."
